Netheos and Namirial are part of the POTENTIAL consortium for the European Digital Identity Wallet

On December 14, 2022, the European Commission announced the results of the tender for the European Digital Identity Wallet. The POTENTIAL Consortium is pleased to announce that its proposal, submitted in August 2022, has been selected.

It is composed of 148 members from 19 countries of the European Union, as well as from Ukraine. Netheos and Namirial are proud to be part of this project which will start in May 2023 and should continue until 2025.

The project aims to deploy pilots for the new European digital identity wallet prototype through 6 use cases: “electronic public services”, “account opening”, “SIM card registration”, “mobile driving license”, “qualified remote electronic signature” and “electronic prescription”.

The National Agency for Secure Documents (ANTS), which coordinates the consortium, as well as all of its members, have been entrusted by the European Commission with the implementation of these pioneering European digital identity use cases, which will be the subject of cross-border tests.
